Just recently my husband and I have been discussing the merits and downfalls of social media. We like to remember the early days when most people shared the fun pictures of their life, and we stayed in touch with family and friends who might not live close. Today, many social media platforms are overwhelmed with politics and bickering. We also talked about cell phones. Goodness, I remember my first cell phone, well it was a car phone really—one of those bag phones. (If you know what I’m talking about, then welcome to my generation.) We used our phones only to make calls then. Soon after came the ability to text—which was far more arduous, let me assure you. It took 3-4 taps on a button to form one letter! Today, we use our phones for many things, but rarely for phone calls.
Today, I invite you to take one of those other uses and that’s the camera. Today, ask three of your friends to share a picture with you that makes you smile.
